Soul Connections Global Yoga Tour '09 ~ Staying Wide Awake!

 twee merrigan:

twee is a senior teacher trainer of prana flow ~ an empowering, transformational, and

evolutionary-edge blend of
hatha, tantra, ayurveda, and vinyasa flow yoga ~ created by

shiva rea. during her 3 year yoga tour beginning
in february 2008 – she has committed herself

as a global citizen to living on the road offering yoga activism and
adventure retreats, teacher

training intensives, and open level classes around the world whilst donating 5% of
profits to

local charities.  twee's unique ability is to create a supportive space where students of all levels

are
encouraged to connect with each other, explore the infinite intelligence of prana (life-force),

listen to their inner
teacher, and move from that center of truth. twee is featured in DVDs by

shiva rea and be yoga, japan. for more
information on her “Spiritual Globalisation Tour”,

as students of flow, we know that every action from within has a rippling effect without. by first realizing, then embodying our unique connection to prana, we transform our yoga practice from self-service to selflessly serving others. we become empowered to live as one wave, in respect, and in union with the ocean of waves surrounding us, as one collective consciousness.

“we are the ones we have been waiting for!”  - the elders of the hopi nation

twee donates her time and a portion of her proceeds of all her yoga events to local and global charities as a contribution to improving the lives of those less fortunate, and reducing the impact on the world’s natural resources. these charities have included kenya education fundyouth focus, parkinsons wa, surfrider foundationa australia, war child, royal flying doctors, trees for the future, and youthaids.  she also continues to maintain her passion for sustainable living by employing such initiatives as printing all manuals, flyers + invitations on recycled paper and with soy-based ink.

twee is a global citizen (with a new york city base) traveling to teach and share her passion of yoga on her second year on the  soul connections yoga tour.  after so many magical and transformational experiences during her 11 months of traveling on the road in 2008 to teach and share her passion of yoga, twee will continue the tour through 2009, entitled "staying wide awake!"  the tour will revisit bali, new zealand, europe, canada, china, malaysia, hawaii, kenya, and austraila with new locations including vietnam, mexico, peru, and bulgaria.  prior to the tour twee lived in new york city for 12 years and one year in perth, australia.

“and then one day the risk it took to remain tightly in a bud was more painful

than the risk it took to blossom.”  - anais nin

what came before teaching yoga?  twee worked in corporate america as an internet recruiter during the dot com boom, a technology recruiter, and a sales consultant of a nyc health + racquet club offering corporate wellness plans +individual memberships.  her first job out of college….ready for this?….was "schlepping" polyester down to the garment district to sell to ladies-wear clothing manufacturers specializing in what else?  polyester apparel!  but of course!

so she was always involved in sharing with the world either something she was passionate about (fitness) or a service that could enhance the lives of others (new job opportunities).  although maybe the polyester is not included in that thought. and here she is sharing spirit and her passion of yoga with you.....through her travels and teachings.
